General Info

Ginza Okuda is a refined kaiseki restaurant located at Japan, 〒104-0061 Tokyo, Chuo City, Ginza, 5 Chome−4−8 銀座カリオカビル B1. Set in the heart of Ginza, this dining spot feels closely connected to the calm, careful rhythm that makes Japanese fine dining so memorable. The location is especially fitting for guests who want a thoughtful meal in one of Tokyo’s most polished dining areas.

The menu at Ginza Okuda focuses on kaiseki-style dining, where each dish is meant to feel balanced, seasonal, and carefully presented. Instead of rushing through a meal, guests can settle into a dine-in experience that suits both lunch and dinner plans. Since lunch reservations are recommended and the restaurant accepts reservations, planning ahead is a smart choice, especially for diners who want a smoother visit.

Among the highlighted dishes, 稚鮎のたです乗せ brings a delicate seasonal touch, while 鮑のしゃぶしゃぶ offers a luxurious seafood experience with a gentle, refined character. For guests who enjoy classic Japanese flavors, 鰻の蒲焼き adds richness and depth to the meal. The アイナメのお吸い物 provides a lighter moment, bringing warmth and clarity between courses. Then, メロンとシャーベット gives the menu a refreshing finish without feeling too heavy.

What makes Ginza Okuda stand out in restaurant reviews is the way its dishes suggest quiet confidence rather than excess. The kaiseki restaurant style works well for diners who appreciate detail, pacing, and presentation. Each item on the menu feels like part of a larger dining story, from seafood-focused plates to the gentle sweetness of fruit and sherbet.

The restaurant is suitable for guests looking for a reserved, sit-down dining experience in Ginza. However, visitors should note that there is no wheelchair accessible entrance, which may be important when planning a visit. Even so, for those who can access the venue comfortably, Ginza Okuda offers a focused dinner or lunch setting where reservations, seasonal dishes, and the central Ginza location all come together naturally.

What customers say?

“ Our lunch at Ginza Okuda blew my socks off. It was fantastic. Down an innocuous staircase in an outside vestibule of a Ginza high rise, Ginza Okuda comes across as a hidden den. Past a zen water feature, a customer slides open a shoji screen and is greeted at the front desk. A captain escorts you to this tiny but elegant room with a counter having about eight seats. To our amazement and joy, we were the only patrons. After conferring with Okuda’s sommelier, a beautiful white wine and a multi-layered sake were poured. Then, the show began. Course after course of the most delicious food came from some hidden place in this basement lair. Every dish was memorable, and I sighed like a Tom Cat at a kitty harem. The seafood tasted fresh and was prepared with a light touch, bringing the flavors of each fish to the forefront. Perhaps the highlight was the Puffer Fish, the chef advising us he was licensed by the government to serve this poisonous fish. I am still alive, and his preparation was delicious. Gaza Okura might be our favorite meal so far on this trip. I would award more than one star to this chef and restaurant. This multi-course lunch with wine and sake came to $178.00, a bargain for the great food and divine experience. Lunch at Ginza Okuda is not to be missed. ”

“ Phenomenal preparation, service, and quality of dishes. Eveything was excellent. The wine and sake pairing was also delightful (you can also ask for a smaller portion for pairing), serving sake and wine from diverse regions. ”
